Direkt aus dem Schoß der Kölner Sixties-Untergrundszene stammt das Quartett The Outcrowd. Ihr Sound ist eine Mischung aus Garage, Soul, Punk und Psychedelic – roh, vibrierend und voller Charme. Der singende Drummer wird begleitet von treibendem Bass, klirrenden Gitarren und einer Orgel, die klingt, als wäre sie geradewegs aus einem Kellerclub in Soho entsprungen. Ihre neue EP "Getaway" steht in den Startlöchern – natürlich wieder bei off label records, wo schon ihre Smash-Hit-Single "Radio 5 / Freakball" gezündet hat.
